There were some tough guys who played villain’s henchman and minor roles in old movies. They were known for their intimidating muscular bodies and look who would indulge in fight scenes with heroes. They were twice the size of their opponent heroes but were get beaten by them as per the movie  script. Some of the names if you remember are Ram Shetty, Bob Christo, Manik Irani aka Billa, Mahesh Anand, Gavin Packard and Mukesh Rishi etc. The last actor is still acting in movies.Here are their pictures . ·       Perhaps the greatest superhero film of all time (most audiences favourite Batman movie till date), becoming quite easily one of the darkest movie to ever make over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. 
·       Heath Ledger actually designed the look of The Joker himself, using make up he'd bought from a local shop.
·       Despite having a great experience on “Batman Begins”, Katie Holmes decided against taking on the role of Rachel Dawes again because she wanted to star alongside Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah in crime comedy “Mad Money”. 
·       The mayor of Batman (a city in Turkey) tried to sue Warner Bros and Christopher Nolan for using the name Batman in the film. 
·       Before Aaron Eckhart was cast as Harvey Dent, other actors who  were almost cast include Ryan Phillippe, Mark Ruffalo, Matt Damon and Hugh Jackman.
·       Within two days of release, it was already ranked as the greatest film of all time by users on IMDB website. It still ranks on no.4 amongst top rated movies.              
·       Director Sam Mendes admits that “The Dark Knight” helped influence him to make  James Bond movie “Skyfall”.
·       Other actresses who were considered for the role of Rachel Dawes included Isla Fisher, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Emily Blunt and Rachel McAdams. Katie Holmes played Rachel Dawes in “Batman Begins”, while Maggie Gyllenhaal played her in “The Dark Knight” .
·       In one scene , the Joker is disguised as a nurse , his name tag reads Matilda .In real life his daughter’s name is Matilda Ledger .
·       Heath Ledger died in January 2008 , six months before the movie was  released and became a masterpiece .

A Few Unknown facts about "Sholay"

The rise of western genre in Bollywood  "Sholay"(1975)  is one of the earliest films which had the Western genre . Apparently it was inspired from Hollywood movies like "The Magnificent Seven" (1960)  & Japanese movie "Seven Samurai"(1954).  Initially, it received negative critical reviews and a tepid commercial response, but favorable word-of-mouth publicity helped it to become a box office success. It broke records for continuous showings in many theatres across India, and ran for more than   five years   at Mumbai's Minerva theatre .  ‘Sholay’ was also about two gunslingers fending off the village against bandits and Sergio Leone’s film had pretty much the same rub as well.  As I've already said  ‘Sholay’ was inspired by  many  classic Western film. The main plot is about mercenaries defending a village against bandits who raid it for provisions- it is also inspired from some cowboys movies of actor Client Eastwood. Unknown fact
