There were some tough guys who played villain’s henchman and minor roles in old movies. They were known for their intimidating muscular bodies and look who would indulge in fight scenes with heroes. They were twice the size of their opponent heroes but were get beaten by them as per the movie  script. Some of the names if you remember are Ram Shetty, Bob Christo, Manik Irani aka Billa, Mahesh Anand, Gavin Packard and Mukesh Rishi etc. The last actor is still acting in movies.Here are their pictures . .  Bradley Cooper gave   the voice over  of Rocket  but Sean Gunn (brother of director James Gunn)   who played Kraglin also  did the motion-capture for Rocket the Racoon . Sean Gunn mentions that “in this movie, because Rocket and Kraglin have a few scenes that they’re in together, juggling the two things was a strange and challenging experience.” He described the experience of having to shrunk  himself to Rocket’s size.

·       Actor Zoe Saldana has been a familiar face within the science fiction movies. She is not  only  playing Gamora in Guardians,  but she also  played Uhura in Star Trek, and Neytiri in Avatar. She is part of three franchise movies .

·       Action star  Sylvester Stallone  desired to join the MCU . Hence,  he got role of  Stakar Ogord a.k.a.  Starhawk in Guardians of the galaxy  Vol.2  . Co-incidentally two of his co-stars are also working in this movie .They are Kurt Russell(Tango & Cash 1989)  & Michael Rooker (Cliffhanger 1993) respectively .

·       Stan Lee made a cameo as he does in MCU & other Marvel movies  . In Guardians of the galaxy   Vol. 2 he was talking to one of the watchers . His character  was the same  Federal Express agent from Captain America :Civil War movie . Director James Gunn made the  character as the same person who appeared in all the MCU movies.

·       In order to properly capture the big screen version of Rocket should look like, director James Gunn brought a real raccoon, named Oreo, to movie set.

·       James Gunn sees Groot  as  a benevolent , self-less tree like creature . He only speaks “I’m Groot”.

A Few Unknown facts about "Sholay"

The rise of western genre in Bollywood  "Sholay"(1975)  is one of the earliest films which had the Western genre . Apparently it was inspired from Hollywood movies like "The Magnificent Seven" (1960)  & Japanese movie "Seven Samurai"(1954).  Initially, it received negative critical reviews and a tepid commercial response, but favorable word-of-mouth publicity helped it to become a box office success. It broke records for continuous showings in many theatres across India, and ran for more than   five years   at Mumbai's Minerva theatre .  ‘Sholay’ was also about two gunslingers fending off the village against bandits and Sergio Leone’s film had pretty much the same rub as well.  As I've already said  ‘Sholay’ was inspired by  many  classic Western film.
