Facts to know about Thor
As the worldwide wide release of movie Thor: Ragnarok is near we would like to
share some interesting facts about Norse god Thor(god of thunder) & his movies.

Thor: Ragnarok is sequel to Thor (2011) & Thor: The Dark World (2013) & seventeenth movie of the MCU (
Marvel Cinematic Universe) .
Thor made his first appearance in an August 1962 issue of “Journey into Mystery.” Spider-Man was also introduced into comic books that same month .

Thor’s iconic weapon, the magic hammer Mjolnir, was
said to be forged in the heart of a dying star.
(Sadly it got destroyed in Thor: Ragnarok movie by the evil Hela)
In the Norse mythology, Ragnarok i
s a
series of future events, including a great battle, resulting in death of many Norse
gods including Thor.
In the comic book, there is an alien called Beta Ray Bill
who also holds a hammer like Mjolnir.
In a crossover comic between DC & Marvel, Superman
got chance to use Captain America’s shield as well as Thor’s hammer.

In comics book of Civil War, Tony
Stark used some of Thor’s hair in order to create a clone of Thor called
Ragnarok.
Thor doesn’t have the power to fly. Actually when he flies it is his hammer which is actually flying he just hold it & move in same direction where the hammer is heading.
During the casting, the final choice for Thor was offered
to both Hemsworth brothers Chris and Liam. Chris Hemsworth was eventually chosen
and Liam appeared in The Hunger Games Franchise.

Not only the Hemsworth brothers ,Tom Hiddleston was also considered for Thor, as he auditioned for the role. However, the producers thought he is more suitable as the trickster Loki, and he became fan favourite.

Director Kenneth Branagh asked Anthony Hopkins to improvise
his yelling at Thor yelling in the banishment scene in original Thor movie. When
the scene was filmed, Hopkins acting skills left many in the cast and crew amazed

The teaser trailer for Thor: Ragnarok which was released by Marvel Entertainment (which is owned by Disney) on you tube got a record breaking over 136 million views only within 24 hours. It broke the record of Emma Watson starer Beauty & the Beast whose trailer had over 127 million views.
